🔍 When is it ripe?
Fully orange skin (can be green-tinged in warm climates and still ripe). Heavy for its size, with a smooth, slightly glossy skin. Scratch and sniff — a sweet orange smell confirms ripeness. Navel oranges develop the distinctive navel opposite the stem.
One large orange tree in the front yard of the house, as well as another large tree in the back. Do ask permission before picking. Might want to practice your Spanish a bit.
Smallish oranges, with many seeds but sweeet! Long Fruit picker is mighty helpful.
