🔍 When is it ripe?
Background colour changes from green to yellow or cream (variety determines final colour). Seeds inside should be brown. Flesh yields slightly to thumb pressure. A ripe apple releases with a gentle upward twist — no pulling. Check the ground for natural drops.
This tree is in the parking lot of Wendy's. It is at the edge by the curb on the northwest corner of the building. It is also right next to the drive through. I used to work here and noticed these apples when I was on my break. When I went to pick them though, most of them were in pretty bad shape so look out. However I did try to pick them very late in the season.
