🔍 When is it ripe?
Mulberry: Ripe when fully coloured (white, red, or black by species) and falls at a touch. Spread a sheet and shake the branches. Extremely perishable — process or eat immediately.
Red mulberry: Deep red to purple-black when fully ripe. Falls naturally. Tart-sweet flavour. Spread cloth below and shake. Stains permanently.
Red Mulberry Trees (2-3 in park area). One is pickable and reachable, another is very high up. You would need a very tall ladder but yields well.
