Blackberry

📍 97 Ballingdon St, Sudbury CO10 2BP, UK
Blackberry Public
🗓 Season: July · August · September
🔍 When is it ripe?
Fully black (not red or dark red) and comes off the stem with no resistance — zero pull. Dull rather than shiny; a shiny black berry is still slightly underripe and tart. Eat the same day for best flavour.
Located around the pump house, just before you go onto the meadows. Perfect to accompany those warm, late-summer evening dog walks. These blackberries are sweet and juicy, when picked at the right time. There are two bushes; one behind the pump house and one next to it, running along the fence of the allotments.
