🔍 When is it ripe?
Ripe when fully coloured (white, red, or black by species) and falls at a touch. Spread a sheet and shake the branches. Extremely perishable — process or eat immediately.
I went in 2022 months July/August, when ripe and plenty, there were a few in ground inedible because they're delicate & soft, so it's necessary to climb the tree that overhangs, start checking it from mid June.
