🔍 When is it ripe?
Green in October (oil forming), turning purple-black November–December. Harvest for oil when 50% black; for table olives, pick to match intended colour. Must be cured in brine or lye — extremely bitter raw.
There is a tree at the start of the trail but if you move up to your left hand side there is prickly pear and almond. A large carob tree. If you walk towards the hunting grounds you will find tonnes of olive trees.
