Black raspberry

📍 522 Wilson Alley, State College, PA 16801, USA
Black raspberry Private but overhanging
🗓 Season: June · July
🔍 When is it ripe?
Deep purple-black, duller than blackberries. Separates from the hollow core like a red raspberry. Richer, more intense flavour than red raspberry. Short season — harvest daily.
a few black raspberry bushes grow in the brush behind this house and hang right out into the alley. The berries aren't accessible from the house and the students who live there aren't in town during the summer. This was my favorite thing last summer when I lived just around the corner; sharing the love because I'm leaving before they're in season again!
