🔍 When is it ripe?
Fully black (not red or dark red) and comes off the stem with no resistance — zero pull. Dull rather than shiny; a shiny black berry is still slightly underripe and tart. Eat the same day for best flavour.
Potential blackberry growth (will return to this location and either update or remove this marker as needed). Source is located within a fenced off area containing the abandoned buildings from the old Gasworks. Enter with caution, you can be arrested for trespassing. There are holes in the fence both on the Williamsburg Ave. side and the Gillie Creek side. Gillie Creek is lower visibility, go this way if possible.
