🔍 When is it ripe?
Ripe dates turn from yellow (khalal stage — crunchy, slightly tart) to amber-brown (rutab — soft and sweet) to dark and wrinkled (tamr). Harvest large clusters of rutab-stage dates when they turn caramel colour and yield to pressure.
Palm trees scattered all over here from this place all the way to farmer boys. The tree is pretty tall - so you'd need a 30ft pole for it, but the one by farmer boys is smaller - so you can get some with a 10ft one.
Lowe's manager says you can get the dates on the ground or on the tree - as long as you don't climb the tree or do anything dangerous like use a ladder. Poles are fine.
